2010-2011 Kindergarteners & New Student Registration July 29, 2010
All students new to North Star will need to bring a current utility bill, current shot records and birth certificate. Children need to be five years of age by September 1, 2010, to enroll in kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year.
District Proof of Residency Procedures
All students registering with APS MUST present proof of residency within their school’s boundary area every year. Proof of residency for North Star will be any current ORIGINAL utility bill with parent name and address on it. The utility bills that North Star will accept are PNM, home phone, water, and cable. You MUST present the original bill-NO COPIES will be accepted or made. The original bill will only be used to determine residency and will be returned to you when verification is made. New property owners who have not yet received utility bills can bring in an original purchase agreement or closing documents with both seller and buyer signatures.
